In a quarter cup of ghee, roast the Besan on a low flame, carefully. Keep mixing while you
roast the Besan, till a good aroma wafts, like that of roasted cashew.
Add Rava to the Besan along with 2 tbsps more of Ghee and keep mixing till well-roasted.
To this aromatic mixture of Besan and Rava and Ghee, add the sugar and mix. Pour in the
hot water and keep cooking till the water gets absorbed. Don’t forget to keep mixing all the
time.
Once the water is reduced and the Halwa consistency is reached, add the rest of the Ghee,
food colour, Cardamom Powder, and Almond slivers. Mix and let it cook until Ghee floats on
top. Take it down from the flame.
