Okra Garlic Fry | Lehsuni Bhindi | How to make Bhindi Fry

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kilo Okra pieces
  • 1/4 cup Peanuts
  • 2 Sprigs Curry leaves
  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp Mirchi Powder
  • 7 - 8 Garlic
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • Oil to fry

Instructions

  1. Heat Oil and add inch-long Okra pieces and fry till golden. (Not too golden as if they are too crispy they become bitter when they cooldown)
  2. Add Garlic, Cumin Seeds, Salt and Mirchi powder and grind to a coarse mixture and mix in the hot, fried Okra pieces.
  3. In the same Oil in which the Okra pieces, add Peanuts and Curry Leaves and mix it in the Okra pieces.
  4. The Fry should be covered with a sieve and not a plate for 2-3 hours and then the Fry stays crisp. If it is covered with a plate, they become soft.
