Curd poha | Dahi poha | Maharashtrian Gopalkala Recipe
Curd Poha is one of the famous Prasadams during Ganesh Chaturthi. It is made in just 5 mins and is distributed during Ganesh Chaturthi in Maharashtra.
It is also made at home as a Tiffin. We usually make it during summers. This recipe is similar to the Curd Rice we generally make but seasoning is slightly different.
Tips
-
Use thick Flattened Rice to make this. Wash them in water, strain them and keep it aside for 5 mins till they dry.
-
In Maharashtra, they use only Mustard, Cumin, Curd Chillies for seasoning. But you can use Black gram, Bengal gram, Green Chillies for seasoning.
-
Consume this Poha within 30 mins after preparation, otherwise it becomes very soft and lumpy.
-
Use diluted Curds for making this Poha, so that it does not become hard, after adding it to the Flattened Rice.
