Curd poha | Dahi poha | Maharashtrian Gopalkala Recipe

Curd Poha is one of the famous Prasadams during Ganesh Chaturthi. It is made in just 5 mins and is distributed during Ganesh Chaturthi in Maharashtra.

It is also made at home as a Tiffin. We usually make it during summers. This recipe is similar to the Curd Rice we generally make but seasoning is slightly different.

Tips

  1. Use thick Flattened Rice to make this. Wash them in water, strain them and keep it aside for 5 mins till they dry.

  2. In Maharashtra, they use only Mustard, Cumin, Curd Chillies for seasoning. But you can use Black gram, Bengal gram, Green Chillies for seasoning.

  3. Consume this Poha within 30 mins after preparation, otherwise it becomes very soft and lumpy.

  4. Use diluted Curds for making this Poha, so that it does not become hard, after adding it to the Flattened Rice.
