Tips

Rice:

• Wash one measure of rice and cook it in four measures of water. If you are using the Pressure Cooker, use three measures of water to one measure of rice. All in all, the principle is to let rice cook to a soft consistency.

Curds:

• Generally Curds made from Cow milk are used for preparing Prasadam. If that is not available, Buffalo milk may be used. But ensure that the curds are not soured.

Pepper corns:

• Do not roast the Pepper corns. You may pound the Pepper corns coarsely, if you like.

Ginger:

• Peel and clean the ginger and cut into small pieces. The Dhaddhyojanam get s all its spiciness only from the Pepper-Ginger combination. So adjust the quantities of both according to your taste.
