Rava Pulihora | Ravva Pulihora

Rava Pulihora is a special Telugu prasadam recipe made with dry cooked Rice Rava mixed with roasted Seasoning and Lemon Juice.

Rava Pulihora is often made by adding Tamarind pulp but I am making it with Lemon which is very easy to make. This Rava Pulihora is similar to the Pulihora made with Rice, but if you are careful while cooking the Rava, this Pulihora will turn out to be nice and fluffy.

Tips

To cook Rice Rava:

  1. Use Rice Rava which is not too fine like Upma Rava
  2. Rava should always be cooked in boiling water only, so that lumps are not formed.
  3. Salt should be added to the boiling water itself before putting in the Rava.

Seasoning:

  1. Seasoning should be roasted properly to get a perfect taste
  2. Green Chillies give a better taste to this dish, more than Red Chillies. But you can use it if you like.

Lemon:

  1. After adding the Lemon Juice, it should be kept aside for at least 30 minutes before serving, then only the Rava will absorb the Lemon properly and tastes good.
