Fruit & Nut Salad Recipe | Healthy Salad with fruit and nut - This simple Fruit & Nut Salad is a Salad but is also a healthy dessert. It has a variety of tastes in one dish and you taste sweet, sour, salty and creamy at ones. The flavours are natural and different.

There is no restriction on when you can make and eat this simple Fruit Salad. It could be eaten before dinner, after dinner, for breakfast or as an evening snack.

It is tasty with a simple dressing. Usually, the taste of any Salad is in its dresing and the freshness of its ingredients. Therefore, it is important to keep every ingredient fresh. Take a look at the tips to understand how to do that.

Tips

How to keep Fruits crispy and crunchy?:

  1. Every ingredient we use in this salad should be fresh and cool. Only then will the Salad be perfect.

  2. Apples, Lettuce, Pineapples and Berries should be cut and put in cold Ice water so that they become crisp and taste good in the Salad.

  3. If the Fruits are soaked in Water for 10 minutes and then strained, the water will go down. ONly then you should make the Salad or the fruits leave the water into the Salad and the dressing will become diluted.

  4. You could add any other fruits you like in addition to the ones I have suggested. Bananas that are in the refrigerator can be used instantly after removing the peel. They do not need to be soaked in water.

Salad Dressing:

  1. I have used Fresh Cream for a creamy dressing. If you are vegan, you could use Coconut cream.

  2. Salad Dressing should be ground and put in the fridge to make it thick. Then you get a thick creamy dressing.

Fruits & Nuts:

  1. You could add any fruits and nuts that you like. Just ensure that they are not sour fruits.

Some more tips:

  1. Salad should always be eaten as soon as it is made. Only then can you savour its freshness.

  2. If you like, you could use Honey instead of Sugar in the Dressing.

Ingredients

  • For Dressing
  • 1/2 cup Cool Fresh Cream
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 7- 8 Soaked Almonds
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper Powder
  • Salt – A pinch
  • For Salad
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 cup Pineapple pieces
  • 1 cup Musk melon pieces
  • 20 Grapes
  • 6 - 7 Orange
  • Iceberg Lettuce – A little

Instructions

  1. Add Fresh Cream, Sugar, Soaked Almonds, Pepper Powder and a pinch of Salt to the mixie and make creamy dressing.
  2. Keep the paste in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  3. Add Ice cubes, and refrigerated cold water to a bowl. Add Sugar and Lemon juice, mix and set aside.
  4. Cut fresh Apple and put the pieces in Water, Add Pineapple and Musk Melon pieces too.
  5. Dice Grapes taken from the fridge.
  6. After ten minutes, drain the water and keep the fruits aside.
  7. In a mixing bowl, add cool Pomegranate seeds, Orange pieces, Grapes, Strained fruits, Iceberg Lettuce and the cool dressing and toss gently.
  8. Garnish with Walnuts, Raisins, Soaked Almond pieces and chopped dates and serve immediately.
