Coconut halwa recipe | Nariyal ka halwa recipe | Thengai halwa | How to make Kobbari Halwa - This Coconut Halwa is a sweet and simple recipe that will appease your sweet tooth! Here is a detailed recipe with images and a video.

Coconut Halwa is a sweet with a balanced taste and makes you ask for more. And since it is made with Jaggery, it is healthy too.

There are many sweets that can be made with Coconut. Laddoos and Louze are made with raw Coconut. I have learned this from an Iyengar family in the Mambalam area of Chennai.

This Halwa is offered as Prasadam to Sri Maha Vishnu in Dhanurmasam.

I eat this Halwa as a filling in two bread slices roasted with Ghee. Try this once. The same Halwa can be made a little thicker and used as stuffing in Bobbatlu, the sweet Rotis of South, without the Cashew Nuts.

This Halwa is simple and is done with just four ingredients. And the measures are also pretty easy and the Coconut Halwa stays fresh for 3-4 days.

Try Rava Appam and Udupi Poha Rava Kesari

Tips

Halwa should not be cooked too long until the syrup becomes stringy. It should be removed from fire as soon as it thickens.

It's because maybe you have cooked over time, we can adjust it by a little bit of water sprinkling. Please try the recipe again with less cooking time. I would love to hear you back with a successful Recipe.
