Crispy Egg Bonda | Egg Bajji | Egg Pakoda
It is impossible to resist these delicious Egg Bondas, which are very simple to make and mostly sold as Street food.
Egg Bonda is also known as Egg Bajji. It is commonly sold as Street food in Andhra and Telangana. They generally make it only with Bengal gram flour, salt and Ajwain. Here in Hyderabad Chat masala and Chopped Coriander leaves are also used.
It is also served in Irani hotels along with Samosa, Lukmi and Dates.
I am following Hyderabadi style. This Bonda has more demand during Ramzan time.Muslims prefer eating it after the day long fasting. They also serve them during Iftar parties.
Frying should be done carefully to get a perfect shape and taste.
Tips
Thickness of Batter:
1.Check the thickness of the batter by dipping your finger. It should stay on the finger for some time which indicates that the egg can hold the batter
- I have not used Rice flour. You can use it to get crispy ones.
Frying tips
1.See to it that the Egg is completely covered with the batter because there are chances of the Egg bursting in the oil
