Gobi Fried Rice | Street Food Style Gobi Fried Rice

Gobi Fried Rice | Street Food Style Gobi Fried Rice- This Street Food style Cauliflower Fried Rice is a popular recipe that you want to make again and again. It is aromatic with Chinese sauce and the native mirchi and Curry leaves. It is always a super hit recipe.

Strictly speaking, I like the Fried Rice we get as street food here rather than Indo-Chinese fried rice. It doesn’t feel foreign and the blend between our spices and their sauces works out really well.

This Cauliflower Fried Rice is easy to make. As such all fried Rice recipes taste the same, with small variations. This is similar too but the taste of the crispy Cauliflower florets makes it interesting.

The recipe is easy but you need some tips in frying the florets. If you know those tips, you can just make it. As such, I call it a street food style recipe but really it is my own recipe.

Tips

Cauliflower:

  1. The coating for Cauliflower has to be a little thick. Then it sticks to the florets.

  2. The coated Cauliflower florets have to be put in hot oil and to be fried for 6-7 minutes on a medium flame. Then the florets get cooked to the core. And they can be fried crisp. If you fry them directly on a high flame, they will be raw inside.

  3. I have used some food colour for the Cauliflower coating. You can skip it if you don’t like it. .

Some more tips:

  1. Remember that fried Rice has proper flavor only if you toss it on a high flame.

  2. I have used Ajinomoto. Skip if you don’t have it.

The recipe is supered fantastic but, a small suggestion after frying the califlower in toping should add some red chilli sauce, dark soya sauce so that the flavour will be fabulous.
